Quest. Mission. Move. Win.
A Quest is the thing you actually want. A Mission is a chunk of it. A Move is what you do this morning. A Win is when it’s done. Your Buddy holds all four, and asks you about exactly one at a time.
The shape of every Quest, start to close.
Domains rest. They don’t die.
Every other goal app punishes you for going quiet. A streak breaks. A chain snaps. An avatar takes HP and your party loses points. We watched what that does to people and refused to ship it.
In Commitment Buddy, a Domain has a floor. After seven days of silence it begins to drift — about five percent a week — but it never falls below seventy-five percent of your peak. It waits.
Rest days are immune. You declare one and the clock holds. When you come back, the Domain rekindles at one and a quarter the normal pace. Returning is a stronger signal than not leaving.
Multiplayer that can’t hurt your Party.
Your Party is the humans in your life — partner, kids, co-founder, friend. Your Crew is the AI agents. When a Mission has more than one person on it, we use three roles only:
Nobody loses anything when someone else doesn’t show. There is no leaderboard. There is no scoreboard. Cooperative, by design.
The whole goal-setting category is AI-free — until now.
We checked. Habitica, Streaks, Finch, Fabulous, Strides, Way of Life. Six big names, zero LLM integrations in 2026. They are passive loggers wearing different sweaters. They wait for you to open the app and write down what you did.
Your Buddy doesn’t. That’s the difference.
