Seasons + Season Pass

A Season ends.

Twelve weeks of a focused Quest set, then a single screen at the end — here’s what you Won, here’s what carried over, start the next one. The Season Pass ends when the Season ends. No silent renewal.

The thesis

Most productivity tools are open-ended graveyards.

You sign up in February with great energy. By July it’s a tab you don’t open. By December it’s a card on your statement you keep meaning to cancel. The whole industry runs on you forgetting.

We watched it happen too many times to ourselves. Seasons are the answer.

How a Season works

Twelve weeks. A Quest set. A close screen.

Week 0
Pick three to five Quests. Pick the Domain each one lives in. Tell your Buddy what done looks like.
Weeks 1–11
Mission → Move → Win, on repeat. Your Buddy holds the line. Your Crew does the running.
Week 12
The close. One screen: what you Won, what you carried, what you let go. No shame for the let-gos. They were honest.
Off-Season
A real pause. Your Buddy drops to the floor. Your Domains rest. Nothing renews behind your back.
The Season Pass

You buy a Season. Then it ends.

The Season Pass is the premium tier. It covers exactly one Season. When the twelve weeks are up, the Pass closes with the Season. We will not silently charge you for the next one.

To start a new Season, you have to choose to. We’ll show up at the close screen, ask if you want another, and remember if you said no. That’s it. That’s the whole renewal flow.

What this kills

The things a Season makes impossible.

  • Silent annual renewals you’ll discover next March.
  • An open-ended infinite todo list that quietly becomes a graveyard.
  • A streak that starts the day you sign up and shames you ten months later.
  • A pricing model that depends on you forgetting you’re a customer.
Founders’ note

We’d rather you came back on purpose.

Every other subscription business is structurally invested in you not noticing. We built Commitment Buddy to be the opposite. If you finish a Season and decide it wasn’t for you, we want you to leave clean. If you come back, we want it to be because the last Season meant something.
